White Lotus Art Gallery and Tattoo has been open since April 2024 and has a clear mission in mind of helping those to transcend to a meditative and peaceful state while experiencing the beauty of visual art.
Our mission is to honor the ancient and multicultural roots in artistry throughwith a focus various forms of art. We strive for eco friendly and traditional practices where others can feel refined and at peace with themselves. Our gallery and studio serve as a sanctuary for art lovers and tattoo enthusiasts, celebrating diversity, craftsmanship, and timeless beauty of artistic expression across cultures.
About Alicia Vasquez
Alicia was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and most of her multicultural family has been native to Ohio for the over a century. Its thought that art might have been the destiny for Alicia as she was born with a disease in her intestine and spent the first 5 years of her life living in the hospital. She had over 15 surgeries as a child and almost didnt make it to live after 5. Luckily she fought through and made it to full recovery with the help of her loving mother.
Throughout her youth and growing up after those first years, were at the least a little rougher as she fell behind on a lot of general childhood development skills. Her mother who also was an artist, encouraged her to use art as a coping mechanism as well as a means of communication to understanding the outside world. It was through her passion as a child for creating that drew her to know she always wanted to be an artist and later attended the Cleveland Institute of Art to obtain a BFA in Illustration. Throughout her schooling, she picked up several new techniques and skills and love to experiment with several different mediums. The ones that she drew to love the most were drawing and painting.
After school soon later in her adult career as a practicing artist, she regained her attention back to approaching her work through a meditational self awareness focus. After having much life experience and also within her own self discovery and spiritual nature, she loved participating in cultural arts festivals selling one of a kind handmade art and talking about her passion for her work. Tattooing became introduced much later in her adult life and soon after she also started becoming more fascinated with pyrography (wood burning).
Alicia opened White Lotus Art Gallery and Tattoo in April 2024 where she hopes to inspire all who enter with a peaceful, meditational environment and visual art that inspires everyone to find there primitive sense of selves through the use of many different art forms.

Intuitive Healing Through Art Class Series
A series of classes with the intention of finding healing within the self through different art practices. In these courses, you will discover different approaches through learning about the steps to take in your own medidative art journey.

Administrative tasks

Keeping up with special studio events and contributing in your own creative way
In studio tasks
-Cleaning the studio (mopping the floor, vacuuming, refilling towels, filters, ink cups, water tank, setting up for appointments
- Taking supply counts and ordering more supplies when needed
- Front desk receptionist for 78th studio events (third Fridays, Cleveland bazaar craft fairs, etc.)
Drawing classes

Assisting in all intuitive drawing classes in helping guide students

Use your own creativity to inspire the class and contribute to practicing your skills through the different mediums
What I’m looking for
*Must be available for most-all the open events at 78th street studios (third Fridays of each month 5-9pm, open studio events (typically weekends)
*Somone with a strong art background and solid portfolio of more than 15 solid artworks / and more then 20 drawings
*Someone with an understanding for aesthetics and styles of art and exposure to other characteristics of different mediums, types of art (graphic design, animation, sculpture, ceramics, painting, fibers, fashion, crafts, photography/videomaking
*Someone that can work as a team member and willing to work together
*Someone willing to work hard/passionate about tattooing and art and eager learn
*Willing to meet new artists, engage in the art community through networking and building your own artistic journey
*Must have reliable transportation

​Compensation will be based on individual’s situation basis and will either be negotiated as a trade agreement for a free tattoo apprenticeship and/or commission based for each events sale. And you can take 100% of tips.
Note* This position is not hourly, or salary based*. You will be hired as a subcontractor(w-9) and are responsible for your own taxes and other benefits. A training that also will be part of your art assistant /apprentice program.

​Willing to trade services and offer a full tattoo apprenticeship for the tattoo apprenticeship assistant job. The only catch is you must be able to work the hours needed (cannot have another full-time job-unless it does not disturb your schedule being at the studio)- depending on your situation I am willing to pay commissions for events services and small art gigs.
If you are wanting just a tattoo apprenticeship service from me there will be a tuitions package with prices and descriptions for each package coming soon
These tasks include tattoo apprenticeship responsibilities (not including the lessons and hours timed that you must be watching -in the studio)
There will also be a noncompete contract and w-9 that must be filled out and signed upon acceptance of job opportunity.
