Tattoo After Care Instructions 

 

-Leave on the BSN (recovery derm bandage) for at least 72 hours before taking off. -This is a water/weather proof bandage that should stay on until it is physically removed.

 

-When taking off the bandage please take off slowly and carefully over running water 

 

-Wash any excess ink and adhesive off by gently rubbing (NOT scrubbing) 

 

-After the bandage has been removed and the tattoo is thoroughly cleaned you may then take care of your tattoo like normal. 

 

-Wash the tattoo no more then 2-3x per day (or as needed to keep it clean) 

 

-Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor Healing Ointment® to your tattoo 2-3x a day or as needed (make sure that the ointment is thinly applied and thoroughly absorbed. Do not allow thick or heavy layers of the product to sit on top of the skin for extended amount of time) 

 

Activities to AVOID: 

-Playing sports where you have a high risk of sliding or falling on the area where your fresh tattoo is located.

-Excessive swimming/dwelling in (chlorine) pool water 

-Extended time in the sun(tanning) and high heat or moist environments where sweat or water will suffice on your fresh tattoo for long periods of time (sauna or steam room)

Laser skin treatments or other skin treatments around the area where your fresh tattoo is located

 

Seek professional medical attention if you: 

-Experience high levels of pain and throbbing for more than 4 days 

-Swelling seems to be getting worse and you see any discoloration around the area

Henna After Care Instructions 

​

-Leave the dried paste on for 6-12 hours (or until it naturally peels/flakes off for longer lasting results)

-AVOID water on the fresh stain for the first 24 hours after washing. 

-Expect the stain to lighten or disappear the first day after applied 

-The next two or three days the stain will gradually appear darker.
